KVS Foundation Day Celebrated

The 58th Foundation Day was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode on 15th December 2021. The formal program began with Lighting the lamp after the school prayer by the chief guests of the day. 

The Chief Guests of the day, Smt. Usha Malayappan (Retd. PGT Economics), Smt. Leena Mukundan (Retd. TGT Social Science) and Sri. Thomson (Retd. PRT) was felicitated with ‘ponnada’, the traditional attire. 

Sri Mujib Rahiman (Librarian), who was selected for the Fulbright DAI 2021-22 was also felicitated . 

The students who participated for the KVS National solo song competition under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav held at KV No1 Salt Lake Calcutta were also felicitated during the programme. 

This was followed by Cultural pragramme, Folk song, and Group dance. The principal in-charge Sri Viswanathan K addressed the gathering. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Sunitha V (HM). The Live Streaming of the programme on YouTube was telecast for the students attending online.

Independence Day - March Past

Master Amaresh is leading the marchpast team; at Maidan, Palakkad on the Independence Day. Our team bagged second prize in the competition. He received the trophy from the Hon. Minister for Food and Civil Supplies : Sri. Anoop Jacob

Panel Inspection: as part of the Annual Academic Inspection, Hon. Asst. Commissioner- Smt. Meenakshi is attending the Scout & Guide troop meeting. Principal Smt. Dr. S Nalayini is also seen.

Scouts : Adventure trekking

An Adventure trekking was conducted to Dhoni Hills and waterfall (Olavakode Forest Range, Govt. of Kerala) the other day, with prior permission from the department of Forests. At 8.00 Am, a team of 64 members ( 31 guides and 21 scouts along with 12 escorts) started the journey in the school bus to Dhoni Hills and waterfall area which is 26 KMs away from the school. The team secured special permission to visit the Chenath Nair Reserve forest , Olavakode circle- (Dhoni, Palakkad ) area where the entry was restricted due to security reasons. They went on an adventure trekking through the forest area to 6 KMs to one side. Participants were divided into patrols with leaders. They were led by 2 forest guards named: Mr. Maruthan and Mr. Abdul Salam. The team was escorted by Scout Masters: Mr. Abdul Shumz , Mr. Biju PV, Mr. Sonu and teachers: Mr. Madhusoodanan, Mr. Sijo Varghese, Mr. Vijayan and Flock leaders: Mrs. Ancy, Mrs. Sumayya, Ms. Aiswarya, and Mrs. Sajini. This nature study trekking became a thrilling experience to the participants.
